The “E! People’s Choice Awards” Garnered Substantial Increase In Digital and Social Engagement Up 33 Percent
Los Angeles, CA, November 11, 2019 – The 2019 “E! People’s Choice Awards” aired on Sunday, November 10 from 9:00-11:00pm ET/PT and reached over 4.3 million total viewers and 1.7 million P18-49 across the cable networks of NBCUniversal, including E!, Bravo, SYFY and USA Network. On E! specifically, the telecast was up 41 percent versus the previous year and averaged 821,000 total viewers and 337,000 P18-49, up 12 percent. The growth among total viewers marks the biggest entertainment awards show gain of the year across all of television. The evening honored Icon recipients Jennifer Aniston, Gwen Stefani, P!NK and included performances by Kelsea Ballerini and Alessia Cara.
Additionally, “E! Live from the Red Carpet: The E! People’s Choice Awards,” which aired exclusively on E! from 7:00-9:00pm ET/PT, scored 620,000 total viewers, up eight percent from last year. Rounding out the night at 11pm ET/PT, a special edition of E!’s topical program “Nightly Pop” garnered its second most-watched episode of the series to-date and was up 18 percent versus last year’s post-award show programming.
Expanding across platforms (linear, digital, Twitter livestream, Facebook video and Snapchat), fans watched a total of 336 million minutes of video content surrounding the event. The “E! People’s Choice Awards” also generated a total of 51 million engagements with E!-produced digital and social content (including page/video views, likes, comments and shares), up 33 percent. On Twitter, the exclusive “E! Stream” delivered nearly 5 million live streams globally, making it the biggest live digital video audience ever for the network. Across E!’s global footprint, an additional 1.2 million international users engaged with the network’s digital properties and video views increased by 57 percent versus last year.
According to Nielsen Social, the event, which trended worldwide, ranked as the #1 most social telecast of the night across all of television with 5.9 million social interactions across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
Ahead of the event, nearly 1.7 billion votes were cast, with some of the top voted categories being Female Artist, Social Star, and Group.

The season finale episode delivered 2.4 million total viewers, over 1.5 million P18-49, 1.3 million W18-49, 807,000 P18-34 and 678,000 W18-34; up four percent among total viewers, two percent among P18-49 and up seven percent among W18-49 versus the prior week’s episode (6/23/19). The episode ranked as the #1 telecast across both broadcast and cable among W18-49, P18-34 and W18-34 on Sunday night.
The season finale also marks the most–streamed episode in network history with 330,115 total views on E!’s digital platforms. Socially, the episode ranked as the #1 cable reality program of the night in primetime, per Nielsen.
Overall, season sixteen averaged 1.9 million total viewers (up seven percent) and 1.2 million P18-49 (up five percent), 930,000 W18-49 (up four percent), 607,000 P18-34 (up five percent), and 494,000 W18-34 (up three percent) versus the previous season average. This season also averaged 19 percent more social interactions versus the previous season, and consistently ranked as the #1 cable reality series on Sunday nights. The season premiere of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” which saw Kim and her sister Kourtney disagree over scheduling their annual holiday card photo shoot, delivered 2.2 million total viewers, 1.4 million P18-49 and 785,000 P18-34, ranking as the #1 cable program of the night among all key demos. The series was also the #1 most social entertainment program of the night, on broadcast or cable, garnering 586,488 total interactions across Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. Additionally, the latest episode of “Very Cavallari” earned a season to-date high among all key demos garnering 910,000 total viewers, 661,000 P18-49, and 372,000 P18-34, up 29 percent, 34 percent and 65 percent respectively, from the prior week (7/29/18), marking the fourth consecutive week of growth among P18-49 and total viewers. The series has also garnered nearly 500,000 total views per episode on video on demand platforms through the first four episodes.
This Sunday on a new episode of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” at 9p.m. ET/PT, Kim and Khloé try to get to the root of Kourtney’s bad attitude, which ignites another disagreement between the girls. Los Angeles, CA, March 10, 2017 – The series premiere of E!’s new one-hour scripted drama, “The Arrangement,” delivered a combined L3 audience of 2.2 Million Total Viewers and 1.2 Million Adults 18-49 across all airings on Sunday, March 5. E!’s strong night began with the global phenomenon “Fifty Shades of Grey” at 7:30pm leading into “The Arrangement” at 10pm. In its premiere timeslot on E!, the series debut of “The Arrangement” posted L3 averages of 1.3 Million Total Viewers and 735k Adults 18-49. “The Arrangement” ranks as the second biggest new scripted series launch of 2017 to date among Women 18-34 (294k). The premiere episode aired later in the evening on sister networks Bravo and USA. E!’s basic cable exclusive premiere of “Fifty Shades of Grey” delivered 1.3 Million Total Viewers and 696k A18-49, marking the network’s most-watched movie run in seven years.
As part of its premiere strategy, E! debuted the full episode of “The Arrangement” on a variety of non-linear platforms for two weeks leading up to the television premiere. The episodes garnered more than 6.2 million views across YouTube, Facebook and VOD. E! also participated in a first to market collaboration with Snapchat where the full episode was available to watch on the platform. Across all non-linear and linear platforms combined, the total average audience for “The Arrangement” was 3.4 Million Total Viewers and 2.2 Million Adults 18-49.
