HALLMARK CHANNEL’S HIT ORIGINAL, PRIMETIME SERIES ‘GOOD WITCH’ KICKS OFF ENCHANTING THIRD SEASON SUNDAY, APRIL 30

Stars Catherine Bell, Bailee Madison and James Denton Return

Pasadena, CA – January 14, 2017 – “Good Witch,” Hallmark Channel’s hit, original, primetime series, is back with more magical adventures and romance when season three premieres Sunday, April 30 (9 p.m. ET/PT).  Based on the wildly popular “The Good Witch” movie franchise, the most successful in the network’s history, the series stars Catherine Bell (“Army Wives,” “JAG”), Bailee Madison (“Northpole: Open for Christmas,” Just Go with It, Trophy Wife ) and James Denton (“Desperate Housewives,” “Devious Maids”).  The announcement was made to a semi-annual gathering of the Television Critics Association in Pasadena.  “‘Good Witch’ is a cornerstone of Hallmark Channel’s success on Sunday nights and we’re thrilled to continue this journey with Cassie, Sam, Grace and all the colorful residents of Middleton fans have come to know and love,” remarked Michelle Vicary, Executive Vice President, Programming and Network Publicity, Crown Media Family Networks.  “This season introduces new characters that take the show in an exciting direction and I can’t wait for viewers to see what’s in store.”

Now that Cassie (Bell) and Sam (Denton) have decided to give romance a chance they’ll navigate the sometimes choppy waters that come with their new relationship status, including dealing with the reactions of their kids, Grace (Madison) and Nick (Rhys Matthew Bond).  Grace moves further into the high school years and still pushes herself to excel in school while outside the classroom, learns more about her special, intuitive abilities and also feels the first blush of teen romance.  Sam works to strike a balance between his duties at the hospital and private practice as well as his responsibilities as a father to Nick and, now, a romantic partner to Cassie.  As always, Martha (Catherine Disher), the indefatigable Mayor of Middleton, is working hard to put her beloved hometown on the map and bring it the attention she feels it deserves.  In its second season, “Good Witch” averaged a solid 2.4 L+3 HH rating, making Hallmark Channel the #2-rated cable network in the time period. Additionally, the series reached nearly 9.7 million unduplicated viewers and more than 1.8 million viewers in the W25-54 demographic.* “Good Witch,” is a Whizbang Films Production in association with ITV Studios America.  Dean Batali, Orly Adelson, Jonathan Eskenas, Frank Siracusa and Craig Pryce are the executive producers.  Catherine Bell is co-executive producer.  “Good Witch” is distributed internationally by ITV Studios Global Entertainment.
