Pee-wee's Playhouse - Shout! to Put Out DVD Version of Their 'Complete Series' Set Already available from them on Blu-ray Disc since October 2014

In late 2014, Shout! Factory released a Blu-ray Disc version of Pee-wee's Playhouse - The Complete Series. They didn't release it in DVD format, though...but that was okay, because just a few years earlier Image Ent. had put out a DVD version called "The Complete Collection." That's now long out of print, however...and fans still want to enjoy this show on DVD! So now we've confirmed with the studio that Amazon.com's listing is a wish that Jambi has granted (Long Live Jambi!). Shout! Factory is releasing Pee-wee's Playhouse - The Complete Series on standard DVD format this March 14th. It will also be available for pre-order soon through Shout!'s own online store, but isn't there quite yet. You'll get all five seasons in one package, for $39.97 SRP (a third off the cost of separately buying the "Seasons 1 & 2" and "Seasons 3, 4 & 5" DVD packages that Shout! released in the past). Package art for this new release isn't available yet, but is expected to be similar in look to the Blu-ray version that's already out. Stay tuned, though, and we'll bring that to you just as soon as we can!
