SILVER SPRING, MD – April 13, 2017 David Sr., Tamela, and Porcia are off to Los Angeles for award season on the next episode of The Manns airing Tuesday, April 18 at 8 p.m. ET on TV One.

On the next episode of The Manns, Tamela is nominated for an NAACP Image Award and a Grammy Award for her songs in Gospel music. She’s also taking the Grammy stage and performing with Chance The Rapper.

Back in Texas, Kennedy, Porcia’s daughter, has a tough day at school when one of her peers belittles her. David, Chantal, and Tia decide to teach the grandchildren about Black History to encourage them to be proud of their heritage.

Later, Porcia introduces the family to her new boyfriend, but everyone is not so welcoming.  David Sr. challenges the young man to a contest to see if he’s “Mann” enough to date his daughter. Will he measure up?
