FRANKIE ANXIOUSLY SEARCHES THE HOUSE FOR AXL’S MISSING GRADUATION GIFT; SUE WANTS TO MAKE A SWEET VIDEO FOR MIKE’S UPCOMING BIRTHDAY; AND BRICK ASKS AXL TO HELP GET HIM INTO SHAPE AFTER CINDY SAVES HIM FROM A BULLY, ON ABC’S ‘THE MIDDLE’

“Clear and Present Danger” – Frankie frantically searches the house for Axl’s graduation gift, which she bought months before and hid; Sue decides that she wants to make a sweet video for Mike’s upcoming birthday – even though the family warns her that he probably won’t like it; and after Cindy embarrasses Brick by strong-arming and chasing away a boy who was bullying him, Brick turns to Axl to help get him into shape so that he can stick up for himself, on “The Middle,” TUESDAY, MAY 2 (8:00-8:30 p.m. EDT), on The ABC Television Network.

“The Middle” stars Patricia Heaton as Frankie, Neil Flynn as Mike, Charlie McDermott as Axl, Eden Sher as Sue and Atticus Shaffer as Brick.

Guest starring are Casey Burke as Cindy, Jen Ray as Nancy Donahue, Troy Metcalf as Jim, Malcolm Foster Smith as Dave, Chasen Banks as Dylan, Chase Kim as George, Cheyenne Wilbur as Ed and Jack Impellizzeri as random guy.

”Clear and Present Danger” was written by Roy Brown and directed by Phil Traill.

“The Middle” is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC’s selected HDTV format with a 5.1 channel surround sound. A TV parental guideline will be assigned closer to the airdate.
