At the end of the show's sixth season, new cast member Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Supernatural, Grey's Anatomy, Watchmen) was menacing Rick and the gang as "Negan," the man armed with the barbed-wire-wrapped baseball bat that he calls "Lucille." That story continued in the latest season, which finished airing two Sundays ago, when the season finale was broadcast on AMC. And, as usual, we lost some beloved cast members during those 16 episodes...but we won't elaborate, because spoilers (after all, some of us don't watch this until it arrives on home video!). Now Amazon has begun taking pre-orders for releases of The Walking Dead - The Complete 7th Season on both DVD and high-def Blu-ray Disc. These listings are prior to the official Starz/Anchor Bay announcement for the item, though, so instead of a street date Amazon merely says "This title has not yet been released. You may pre-order it now and we will deliver it to you when it arrives." Pricing is available, however, currently showing $69.98 SRP and $79.99 SRP, respectively (you can, of course, guarantee your copy right away at a discount, if you order it using either of the above links). There are no other details available so far at Amazon's entry, but there IS early package art featuring Negan and Lucille (see below; may not be finalized yet, and could be subject to change). No word yet, either, on the special Limited Edition release that usually accompanies each season set, but lately those have been coming later on. We'll update you further on this title, of course, just as soon as we find out anything more!
