USA Network announced today that another season of its critically-acclaimed sci-fi hit -- from producers Carlton Cuse (Lost) and Ryan Condal (Hercules) -- is on the way. Colony will return next year for a third season with 13 new episodes!
Starring Josh Holloway and Sarah Wayne Callies, Colony takes place in the not-so-distant future as an alien invasion changes life in Los Angeles as we know it. In this new world order, humans stay alive by selling each other out to their new "Hosts" and, as a group of complicit elites rise to power, a growing resistance does whatever it can to fight for humanity.
Season one of Colony was received favorably by critics and earned a Certified Fresh rating by Rotten Tomatoes. Season two continues to garner critical acclaim week over week, with Vox calling it "the most relevant show on television" this past February.
Colony is co-produced by Legendary Entertainment. It also stars Peter Jacobson (House), Tory Kittles (True Detective), and Amanda Righetti (The Mentalist). The season two finale airs this Thursday at 10/9c on USA Network.
