Police work isn't rocket science...it's harder. Sky-high crime, officer-involved shootings, cover-ups and corruption: the over-extended and under-funded Chicago Police Department is spiraling out of control. Enter billionaire engineer Gideon Reeves. After he witnesses his best friend's murder, he takes charge of Chicago's troubled 13th District, and reboots it as a technically innovative police force, challenging the district to rethink everything about the way they fight crime.

Becoming the city's most advanced police district isn't easy. Gideon knows if he's going to change anything, he needs help, which he finds from Detective Theresa Murphy, an ambitious, street-smart cop who is willing to give Gideon's technological ideas a chance. With the help of Gideon's gifted tech officer, Ada Hamilton, he and Murphy embark on a mission to turn the 13th District - including a skeptical Capt. Ned Conrad and determined Officers Nicholas Brandt and Tasha Goss - into a dedicated crime-fighting force of the 21st century.
This past February, the Fox Network began airing APB, starring Justin Kirk (Weeds, Tyrant, Modern Family, Angels in America) as "Gideon Reeves" and Natalie Martinez (Kingdom, Detroit 1-8-7, Under the Dome, CSI: NY) as "Detective Theresa Murphy." Over the course of the show's 12 episodes, which wrapped up last week, we also saw Caitlin Stasey (Reign) as "Ada," Taylor Handley (Vegas) as "Brandt," Tamberla Perry (Boss) as "Goss," Abraham Benrubi (ER's "Jerry") as "Pete," and Ernie Hudson (Ghostbusters) as "Captain Conrad."

With the finish of the first season, we fans are all waiting for word about whether the show is getting renewed for a second broadcast season. It's truly "on the bubble," with no decision made yet...but honestly, it's not looking very good due to sliding ratings. Either way, though, Amazon.com has begun accepting pre-orders for "APB - Season 1" on DVD! This listing is prior to the official Fox Home Entertainment announcement for the item, so instead of a street date Amazon merely says "This title has not yet been released. You may pre-order it now and we will deliver it to you when it arrives."

Pricing is available, however, at $49.98 SRP. The Amazon entry doesn't yet indicate if this will be available in stores as a traditionally pressed item, or if it will be a manufactured on demand title available only through online sellers (Such as Amazon's CreateSpace MOD program). And there are no other details available so far at Amazon's entry, either. There IS, however, an early look at package art, shown below (may not be finalized yet, and could be subject to change). Stay tuned, of course, and we'll update you further on this title, just as soon as we find out more!
