CULVER CITY, Calif. (April 28, 2017) – Crackle, Sony Pictures Television Networks’ free, ad supported streaming network, is launching “This Week On,” an all-new weekly series “hosted by YouTube sensation and SMOSH co-founder Ian Hecox, which the network previously announced earlier this month at their upfront presentation. The weekly show will debut on Thursday, May 4th in conjunction with CRACKLE SPOTLIGHT, the network’s new multiplex channel. “This Week On” will highlight the hottest movies and television shows on Crackle.
Also this month, you can now binge-watch seasons one and two of “SuperMansion,” Crackle’s Emmy-nominated, stop motion-animated comedy series from Stoopid Buddy Stoodios. Called “smart and deliriously unpredictable” by the New York Times and “uproariously funny” by Collider, the series follows the adventures of Titanium Rex (voiced by Bryan Cranston, also the series’ executive producer) as he struggles to live with and fight alongside the Millennial-aged, often lackadaisical members of The League of Freedom. Season two voiceover stars includes Bryan Cranston (“Breaking Bad”), Keegan-Michael Key (“Key & Peele”), Chris Pine (“Star Trek”), Jillian Bell (22 Jump Street), Yvette Nicole Brown (“Community”), Heidi Gardner (The Groundlings), Tucker Gilmore (Frozen), and Zeb Wells (“Robot Chicken”).
Additional programming arriving to Crackle this month includes Ryan Murphy’s Running with Scissors, the 2010 horror film Insidious, Stanley Kubrick’s Oscar-nominated Full Metal Jacket, and The Mask of Zorro starring Antonio Banderas and Anthony Hopkins. Additionally, Crackle is adding ten themed episodes of the hit sitcom, “Seinfeld,” highlighting some of the series’ most iconic catchphrases.
