STUDIO CITY, CA – Brooke Candice Nevin (“Scorpion,” “Breakout Kings”), Steve Byers (“Reign,” “The Man in the High Castle”) and Patrick Duffy (“Dallas,” “The Bold and the Beautiful”) star in “The Christmas Cure” a Hallmark Channel original movie premiering Saturday, July 15, (9 p.m. ET/PT) as part of the network’s “Christmas Keepsake” summer holiday event, from July 14-23.  Emergency room doctor Vanessa (Nevin) returns home for Christmas to find that her father, Bruce (Patrick Duffy) has decided to retire and close the family medical practice.  Vanessa spends her Christmas trip working at her father’s clinic and reuniting with her high school sweetheart, Mitch (Byers).  The emotional Christmas visit helps Vanessa realize the personal connections and family memories she has been missing.  She finds herself feeling torn between her fast-paced life as a trauma doctor in Los Angeles and her loyalty to her family and hometown community.  As Christmas approaches, Vanessa must decide whether to return to a waiting promotion in Los Angeles or continue her father’s family practice and pursue a relationship with Mitch in her hometown.

“The Christmas Cure” is a Chesler / Perlmutter Productions Production.  Lewis Chesler and David Perlmutter are the executive producers.  Marek Posival is the producer.  John Bradshaw directs from a script written by Marcy Holland.
