Broadchurch - Release Date Found Up North for 'The Complete 3rd Season: The Final Chapter' Coming in mid-September, according to Amazon of Canada

Three years have passed in a town that will never forget; and Hardy and Miller are called on to investigate the brutal sexual assault of a local woman, Trish Winterman. The crime scene points to a party attended by close to a hundred people. But not a casual assault the act appears premeditated. It hasn't been formally announced yet by eOne or their distributors at Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, but Amazon's Canadian branch has added a pre-release listing showing that Broadchurch - The Complete 3rd Season: The Final Chapter will be available for sale on September 12th (the date can be found in the "Product details" section if you scroll down a bit). There's no pricing shown, nor other details (or artwork), as Amazon.ca isn't accepting pre-orders yet for the title. Even though this is very early info, and could be subject to change, we wante to give our readers the heads-up about it. This concluding season is a highly anticipated title, given the popularity of its initial season and (to a lesser extent) the follow-up season. There are also multiple connections to the extremely popular show Doctor Who, as Broadchurch star David Tennant formerly played "the 10th Doctor." And when he left, the story introducing replacement Matt Smith as "the 11th Doctor" included guest star Olivia Colman, who co-stars with Tennant on Broadchurch. More forward-looking, Broadchurch creator/writer/producer Chris Chibnall already has a new "gig" lined up: he'll be taking over as the showrunner for Doctor Who starting with the new season in 2018. So many Who fans that missed catching Broadchurch in the past are taking a look at it, trying to anticipate the direction in which Chibnall might take Doctor Who.
