The average of the network’s Sunday-Monday night shelter dog special out-delivered the two-night average of the pedigree competition across all key demos, including Households, Women 18-49, Women 25-54, Women 18+, and Total Viewers. This year’s “American Rescue Dog” reached a combined total of over 2.8 million Unduplicated Total Viewers.

Saturday’s world premiere of the first new original movie premiere of the holiday season, “Christmas at Pemberley Manor”, averaged a 3.2 Household rating and was the highest-rated and most-watched cable program of the day, excluding sports, and the second highest-rated and most-watched of the week, excluding news and sports. New York, NY, April 24, 2018 – Viewers tuned into Hallmark Channel in spades Sunday night for the highly-anticipated emotional climax of season five of the network’s original primetime series, “When Calls the Heart”. On a Live+SD basis, the finale averaged a 2.3 Household rating and 2.6 million Total Viewers, in addition to ranking as the second highest-rated cable program of the day and second most-watched of the week among households, excluding news and sports.
The season finale also made a strong imprint on social media, trending #5 on Twitter in the U.S. Sunday evening. The following afternoon, the show’s co-executive producers Brian Bird and Lori Loughlin, who also stars in the show, along with her co-stars Erin Krakow and Daniel Lissing conducted the network’s first-ever 30-minute Facebook Live Post-Show to address the death of Lissing’s beloved character, Mountie Jack Thornton. New York, NY, February 22, 2018 – Hallmark Channel’s first annual “American Rescue Dog Show” turned in impressive ratings and delivery results Monday night, making it the country’s new favorite canine competition and outperforming a long-running, well-known dog show that focuses exclusively on pure breeds. The show delivered 153,000 Adults 25-54 and 864,000 Total Viewers. In addition, the program trended on Twitter and Facebook throughout the night with viewers weighing in on what makes rescue dogs such wonderful pets.
“Pure bred dogs have been celebrated in a variety of dog shows for over a century but rescue dogs are remarkably special and we are proud to showcase them in this way,” said Bill Abbott, president & CEO, Crown Media Family Networks. “’The American Rescue Dog Show’ will only grow in popularity and bring a new level of awareness to the wonderful dogs available in shelters each and every day.”
A component of Adoption Ever After, the network’s pet adoption advocacy initiative, the “2018 American Rescue Dog Show” is a celebration of shelter dogs in all their beautiful variety. Hosted by Rebecca Romijn and Rich Eisen, with celebrity judges Linda Blair, Rick Springfield, Brandon McMillan, Andrea Arden, David Alexander, and Lisa Arturo, the program light-heartedly pitted rescue dogs from across the country against each other in a personality-driven competition with such categories as Best Wiggle Butt, Best in Snoring, Best in Kissing, Best in Special Needs, Best Senior Dog, Best Underbite, Best Talking, Best Listening, Best Fetcher, and Best Couch Potato. A field of over 2,000 dogs was eventually narrowed down to ten, one winner in each category. At the end of the night, Jackie, a Black Lab/Golden Retriever mix – the Best Senior Dog winner – took top honors as Best in Rescue.

Celebratory ‘June Weddings’ Programming Stunt Boosts Hallmark Channel to #3 HH-Rated Network in Saturday Prime Time
New York, June 6, 2017 – Crown Media Family Networks saw ratings success this past weekend with original movie premieres on both Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies & Mysteries securing the #2 HH-rated spot in the 9-11 p.m. time period on Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday, June 3, Hallmark Channel launched its annual “June Weddings” programming franchise with the debut of “Destination Wedding,” one of four new nuptial-themed premieres this month.
On Sunday, June 4, Hallmark Movies & Mysteries also debuted “Site Unseen: An Emma Fielding Mystery,” marking the first installment of its newest mystery series.
