COMEDY CENTRAL ANNOUNCES ONE-HOUR SKETCH COMEDY SPECIAL FROM “GOATFACE” COMEDY QUARTET STARRING HASAN MINHAJ OF THE DAILY SHOW WITH TREVOR NOAH, ASIF ALI, ARISTOTLE ATHIRAS AND FAHIM ANWAR
LOS ANGELES, July 25, 2017 – Sketch comedy quartet Goatface will bring their wide-ranging brand of humor to Comedy Central for a one-hour special, it was announced today by Kent Alterman, President, Comedy Central.
“Hasan’s work has been so amazing on The Daily Show, at the White House Correspondents Dinner and as a stand up, it’s no surprise his history with such a talented sketch group,” said Alterman.
“We’re excited to work with Comedy Central and have cancelled all international flights to ensure our ability to stay in America and finish this project,” said Goatface.
Goatface (goatfacecomedy.com), which consists of Hasan Minhaj (The Daily Show with Trevor Noah, Homecoming King), Asif Ali (Wrecked, New Girl), Fahim Anwar (Fahim Anwar: There’s No Business Like Show Business) and Aristotle Athiras (director, Fahim Anwar: There’s No Business Like Show Business), uses sharp, playful sketch work to satirize a vast spectrum of topics including sports, music, politics, media, family relations, social issues and more.
Ali, Anwar, Athiras and Minhaj are Writers and Executive Producers. Athiras will direct. Anwar will serve as Head Writer. Sarah Babineau, Christian McLaughlin, and Jose Acevedo are the Executives in Charge of Production for Comedy Central.
