Once Upon a Time - Possible Release Date for 'The Complete 6th Season' on DVD, Blu-ray One major retail chain is saying to expect it on their shelves in just six weeks!

Several weeks ago we reported that Once Upon a Time - The Complete 6th Season was in-the-works for both DVD and Blu-ray Disc, according to various retailer contacts that sent us the heads-up. No specific release date was given...just a general timeline of "Late Summer/Early Fall 2017" (which we passed on to you, our readers, along with an early look at cover art, seen again below). We also had early pricing for these items, which may not be finalized yet. Now one major retail chain, Target, has begun saying at their website that the title will be available on both disc formats this August 15th, and we've had multiple readers email us about that info (our thanks to Brennan Turner for being the first of those, once the info went public at Target.com). We don't know if the date shown there is a "wide" general retail release date, though, or if it represents an exclusive window Target has to sell the item before other sellers get it. However, in years past, Once Upon a Time season sets usually are released at general retail somewhere between the middle and end of August, so the date Target provides WOULD be keeping in line with that! We've reached out to our press contacts with the studio, of course, but they have only responded that the title isn't officially announced yet.
