Doctor Lucien Blake (Craig McLachlan) and his housekeeper and confidant Jean Beazley (Nadine Garner) have returned to Ballarat, ready to finally pursue their romantic feelings towards one another. But their arrival coincides with the attack on someone extremely close to them, creating a life-threatening situation that will shake them both to their very core. As always there will be murder and deception, trickery and espionage. The only man for the job is Doctor Blake. According to an Amazon.com pre-order listing, BBC Home Entertainment has scheduled a January 16th general retail street date for The Doctor Blake Mysteries - Season 4. English subtitles are included, and it's priced at $35.99 SRP for a 3-disc set (per the BBC's information, although the cover art actually says "2 Disc Set" instead). However, you can receive The Doctor Blake Mysteries - Season 4 on DVD much quicker, if you pre-order it from the studio's own BBC Shop online store. There it's discounted to $28.98 (as of this writing), and it's available beginning September 5th...four months early!
