The Goldbergs - Northern Dates Found for 'The Complete 3rd Season' and '4th Season'!

Amazon.ca shows that both are up for pre-order, with a mid-September release

In September 2014, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment released The Complete 1st Season on DVD. A year later, in September 2015, Sony followed up with DVDs of The Complete 2nd Season. Then in 2016...nothing. No third season on DVD. Fans were writing to us, upset.

But then, in December 2016, good news! The show's Creator/Exec Producer, Adam F. Goldberg, said on Twitter that fans could expect a May 2017 release for The Goldbergs - The Complete 3rd Season.

Then...nothing. No DVDs in stores this past May. No announcement from Sony. No news we could pass along to our readers....

...Until now!

In our pre-Christmas report, we reminded our readers that the May schedule "represents VERY early plans from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. That May timeframe could end up changing between now and then." And apparently that's what happened. Since then, our home video retail industry contacts have told us that Sony's password-protected retailer site had bullet points mentioning the third season, and even the fourth. But no dates, no information, no pricing, and no package art. For either one.

And Sony still hasn't announced any new DVDs for The Goldbergs at this time, to U.S.A. retailers, or to the press.

However, Amazon of Canada has added pre-order listings for both The Goldbergs - The Complete 3rd Season and also The Goldbergs - The Complete 4th Season on DVD! These titles will be sold separately for CA$30.99 SRP each, and both are shown to be hitting the street on September 12th...two years to the month after the second season's release!

As of this writing we are unable to find any similar listings on the USA-based Amazon.com website; this information comes only from Amazon.ca, north of the border. It does not come from Sony, and it once again may not be finalized info, and could be subject to change. It could also be Canada-only plans, potentially, and State-side plans could possibly end up being different; at this time we just don't know. Amazon.ca's listings do not show package art, extras (if any), or other information for these items...except that each one is a 3-disc set.

Stay tuned, of course, and we'll update you as further developments occur!
