ABC News’ ‘20/20’ to Air Exclusive Interviews With Former FBI Agent and His Daughter Who Were Convicted of Murdering Her Husband, Friday, August 11
‘20/20’ WILL AIR EXCLUSIVE PRE-TRIAL INTERVIEWS WITH FORMER FBI AGENT AND HIS DAUGHTER CONVICTED TODAY OF MURDERING HER HUSBAND, EVEN THOUGH THEY CLAIMED SELF-DEFENSE
‘20/20’ Airs Friday, August 11, on ABC
According to prosecutors, Molly was an emotionally volatile woman who, with her father’s help, killed her husband in their home. The defense insisted that it was an act of self-defense – that Jason was an abusive, dangerous man who allegedly attacked Molly the night of the murder, and Tom killed him with a baseball bat to protect his daughter. But the forensic evidence appeared to contradict the father and daughter’s accounts, and today, the jury convicted Molly and Tom of intentionally killing Jason and sentenced them to 20-25 years in prison, deciding to go further than a voluntary manslaughter charge that was also up for consideration.
“20/20” is anchored by Elizabeth Vargas and David Muir. David Sloan is senior executive producer.
