Based on the massively popular book by Neil Gaiman, which won the Hugo and Nebula Awards. Lionsgate Entertainment has today informed retailers that American Gods - Season 1 is coming to DVD ($34.98 SRP) and high-def Blu-ray Disc ($39.99 SRP) on October 17th. This fantastic show, based on the award-winning book by Neil Gaiman, stars Ricky Whittle, Ian McShane, Emily Browning, and Pablo Schreiber. Also appearing are Gillian Anderson, Yetide Badaki, Bruce Langley, Demore Barnes, Chris Obi, Omid Abtahi, Orlando Jones, Peter Stormare, Cloris Leachman, Betty Gilpin, Mousa Kraish, Corbin Bernsen, Jeremy Davies, Dane Cook, Kristin Chenoweth, and Back to the Future's Crispin Glover as "Mr. World." Each format's 3-disc collection will include English SDH and Spanish subtitles. Also on board are "over 2 hours of exclusive extras." As of this writing, the studio hasn't provided a list of the bonus material, but stay tuned and we'll get that to you just as soon as we can!
