Fresh off the Boat: Season 4: Lead Sheet

Fresh off the Boat: Season 4: Lead Sheet
Set in the ‘90s, hip-hop loving teenager Eddie Huang (Hudson Yang) and his family have lived in Orlando for a few years now and are assimilating nicely into the suburban American lifestyle. Cultural differences still present everyday challenges, but close friends, neighbors and business partners are there to help them navigate the complexities of raising a family of future Millenials.
Dad Louis (Randall Park) has taken great pride in turning the once struggling steakhouse, Cattleman’s Ranch, into a successful family restaurant. With a new business partner on board,  he is afforded the luxury of spending more time with the family, but also struggles with relinquishing control of business decisions. Mom Jessica (Constance Wu) recently became a U.S. citizen and is living her own American dream as a prominent real estate agent.

1997 was a big year for eldest son Eddie. He and his family vacationed to Taiwan, he had his first kiss, grieved the untimely death of his rap hero The Notorious B.I.G., graduated from middle school with his crew of misfits and is ready to tackle the challenges of high school. Middle child Emery (Forrest Wheeler) has typically done well at everything he attempts – school, sports, girls – but when he hits a streak of bad luck, his usual carefree demeanor takes a turn. Baby brother Evan (Ian Chen), is still Mommy’s perfect child who helps maximize efficiency during weekly trips to Costco, yet is unafraid to challenge her to a healthy debate about such topics as which is the more satisfying dessert – pie or cake. Grandma (Lucille Soong) has much more independence now, thanks to her new motorized wheelchair, but she always makes time to poke her nose into family affairs. Neighbors Honey (Chelsey Crisp) and Marvin (Ray Wise) are always available to break down the complexities of American culture and are proof that family extends beyond the walls of your home.

Inspired by a true story, “Fresh Off the Boat” stars Randall Park as Louis, Constance Wu as Jessica, Hudson Yang as Eddie, Forrest Wheeler as Emery, Ian Chen as Evan, Lucille Soong as Grandma Huang, Chelsey Crisp as Honey and Ray Wise and Marvin.

“Fresh Off the Boat” was written by Nahnatchka Khan, who also serves as executive producer. Jake Kasdan and Melvin Mar are executive producers. The series is produced by 20th Century Fox Television. It is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC’s selected HDTV format with 5.1 channel surround sound.
