Fans of the franchise know that the original U.K. version of the show has undergone various changes lately. The State-side implementation of the program has gone through change as well. From 2010 to 2016, the History Channel ran six seasons of Top Gear U.S.A., before the BBC decided to end that version of the series. Now this year they've brought the franchise back to the States, on the BBC America channel, as Top Gear America. The first four episodes have aired so far, with eight in all planned for the rookie season.
BBC Home Entertainment hasn't officially announced it yet, but there's an Amazon.com pre-order entry listed for Top Gear America - Season 1 on DVD. Priced at $24.98 SRP for a 2-disc set, Amazon shows that it will be available starting on October 17th. Package art isn't available so far (there's a placeholder image there, showing the program's logo, and not much else beyond a car being driven fast across what seems to be a desert).
