The Real McCoys - 'The Complete Series' MOD Release is Now Available! All 6 seasons, plus a reunion special, because available as of yesterday

When a happy-go-lucky West Virginia mountain family moves to a ranch in California's San Fernando Valley, anything is likely to happen in The Real McCoys (1957-1963), one of TV's biggest hits of the era, paving the way for such other rural comedy shows as Gomer Pyle U.S.M.C., The Beverly Hillbillies, Petticoat Junction and Green Acres. Starring Grampa Amos McCoy (three-time Academy Award-winner Walter Brennan) - a porch-rockin', gol-darnin', consarnin' old codger with a wheezy voice - who loves to meddle in other people's affairs, neighbors and kin alike. Joining him are grandson Luke (Richard Crenna); Luke's new bride, Kate (Kathleen Nolan); teenage sister, "Aunt" Hassie (Lydia Reed); 11-year-old brother, Little Luke (Michael Winkelman); musically inclined farm hand, Pepino (Tony Martinez); and their argumentative neighbor, George MacMichael (Andy Clyde). George's spinster sister, Flora (Madge Blake), has eyes for Grampa but, alas, it's not meant to be. Enjoy all six seasons (224 episodes) of this treasured series on DVD...digitally remastered for unparalleled picture and audio quality. Waaay back in 2012 we reported that there were plans from Inception Media Group for a DVD release of The Real McCoys - Seasons 1-6 Collection. Those plans never came to fruition, and the rights to the show's home videos later moved to SFM Entertainment. Now MOD (manufacture on demand) DVD distributor Allied Vaughn has alerted us that yesterday, August 29th, SFM released all six seasons together on DVD as The Real McCoys - The Complete Series. This MOD set has 30 discs, and the suggested list price is $119.00 SRP. Allied Vaughn also says, "Includes Additional Bonus Disc - Reunion Special." Amazon has a listing for the title, but it isn't accepting orders as of this writing. Check back, though, because they should activate that soon.
