Seven months ago we reported that CBS Home Entertainment had taken over the home video rights to Jane the Virgin, and had plans for MOD releases of both the first and second season, and on both DVD and high-def Blu-ray Disc formats. The first season had been put out on DVD before, by the previous rights-holders (Warner Home Video), but CBS plans to make it available as a manufacture on demand item for those who still don't own it yet. We're still in a holding pattern for the MOD re-issue of the first season DVD, and also for the initial MOD releases of the second season (in either format). But this past Friday, October 13th, Amazon's CreateSpace MOD program began showing an "in stock" status for Jane the Virgin - The Complete 1st Season on high-def Blu-ray Disc! The 5-disc set is priced at $34.95 SRP, and here's a look at the packaging:
