Outcast - Official Fox Announcement for 'Season 1' Indicates It's Not Sold in Stores MOD status on both DVD and Blu-ray Disc versions would mean it's an online exclusive

Outcast, based on the Skybound/Image comic title by creator Robert Kirkman and artist PaulAzaceta, follows Kyle Barnes, a young man who has been plagued by demonic possession all his life. Now,with the help of Reverend Anderson, a country preacher with personal demons of his own, Kyle embarks on a journey to find answers to obtain a normal life he has never known. But what Kyle discovers could change his fate - and the fate of the world - forever... We passed along word two weeks ago from Amazon.com that Outcast - Season 1 is coming to DVD and high-def Blu-ray Disc on October 31st. Now Fox Home Entertainment has formally announced this title, confirming the date and package art (seen again below). HOWEVER, the info we received from Fox's press team informs us that the title - on both DVD and Blu-ray formats - will be released via the studio's manufacture on demand (MOD) program. If that's accurate (and we're only using that as a turn of a phrase; we have no reason to believe otherwise, since the info came straight from the studio), then this means that these items won't be sold in stores. Instead, they would be exclusive to online sellers (such as Amazon). So be certain to make your plans accordingly!
