Jodie Sweetin (“Fuller House,” “Full House”) and Eric Winter (“Rosewood,”
Harold & K u m a r E s c a p e f r o m G u a n t a n a m o B a y ) star in “Finding Santa,” a new, original movie premiering Friday, November 24 (8 p.m. ET/PT) on Hallmark Channel as part of the network’s annual, popular “Countdown to Christmas” programming event. Christmas is a busy, busy time for the residents of Green River, Connecticut, particularly for Grace Long (Sweetin), the third generation in her family to steward the hamlet’s signature Christmas Eve parade. In the 50 years since Grace’s grandparents conceived the parade, Green River has become a destination for scores of families and couples who are eager to experience a small-town New England Christmas with all the trimmings. This year’s audience for the parade promises to be in the millions, thanks to a national morning show that has chosen the town as the site of its Christmas Eve day program. But this huge opportunity is jeopardized when Green River’s famed Santa, aka Tom White (Jay Brazeau, “Garage Sale Mystery,” Best in Show ), slips on a patch of ice and ends up with one arm in a full cast, unable to fulfill his Santa duties. Unfortunately, the only person who could conceivably fill Tom’s boots is the one person who has consistently rejected the idea: his son, Ben (Winter), a writer who lives in Boston. With her town’s reputation and economic future on the line, Grace has less than a week to figure out a way to get the reluctant Ben from Boston to Green River and into that Santa suit. As December 24th draws near, Grace and Ben discover a truly unexpected and wonderful Christmas gift: love. “Finding Santa” is an FS Productions Ltd. Film. Vicki Sotheran and Greg Malcolm are the producers. David Winning directed from a script by Julie Sherman Wolfe.
