Based On True Stories Of The Settlement And Founding Of San Francisco: 1850's San Francisco was the height of the Gold Rush era. Honest men such as Dion Patrick (Adam Kennedy) tried to clean up a wild city overrun by criminals and con men by joining forces with storekeeper Jack McGivern's (Sean McClory) vigilantes; the only law enforcement in town. Matthew Wayne (Richard Coogan) was elected sheriff of San Francisco and became the leading vigilante character half way through the first season.
Then...
Based On True Stories Of The Settlement And Founding Of San Francisco: 1850's San Francisco: Sheriff Mathew Wayne (Richard Coogan) risks his life to keep the peace: an 1854 wedding leads him to bank robbery suspects, bandits terrorize travelers, Russian fur traders fight for markets, human trafficking of Chinese laborers, protecting the innocent from the criminals lured in by the prospect of gold and his duty to insulate the vulnerable citizens from the wiles of heart-breaker Lola Montez (Patricia Medina). All this and much more add up to an action-packed second season.
CBS and SFM Entertainment are teaming up to bring both seasons of The Californians to DVD ($34.99 SRP each season) and high-def Blu-ray Disc ($42.99 SRP each season). Each will be a 4-disc set (except for the DVD version of the first season, which is a 5-disc set). All of them are MOD (manufacture on demand) titles being offered through Amazon's CreateSpace MOD program. There's no dates yet for when these will be available; instead each of Amazon's listings for these items simply say, "This title has not yet been released. You may pre-order it now and we will deliver it to you when it arrives." Here's the packaging for all four, and an Amazon pre-order button link:
