Doctor Who - Blu-ray Disc Gift Set Planned for 'The Complete Peter Capaldi Years' Available from BBC Home Entertainment this February, according to Amazon

It's hardly a secret at this point: on Christmas Day, BBC America will air the 2017 Christmas Special: Twice Upon A Time, and that will mark the final episode for Peter Capaldi as the 12th Doctor. And, as we've already reported, that special will be available on DVD and Blu-ray Disc as a stand-alone item on February 20th. Now we've learned that a week earlier than that, on February 13th, BBC Home Entertainment will release Doctor Who - The Complete Peter Capaldi Years. We get that info from an Amazon.com pre-order listing, which shows it to be a 16-disc Blu-ray format set, priced at $148.95 SRP. We can't locate a listing for a DVD version, and there's no info about it so far from either BBC Home Entertainment, or even their North American distributors to retail, Warner Home Video. Our thanks to reader Rob Mican for the heads-up! There are no details there, nor package art, nor word if the 2017 Christmas Special will be included (although we assume so, surely!). We're going to assume that the on-disc bonus material will be the same as what's found on the Capaldi-era season sets...but that's just an assumption, and we can't bank on that until we get a studio confirmation.
