X Ambassadors and Bleeding Fingers Music Collaborate on Original Composition for Stunning Symphonic Celebration of Planet Earth
Symphony for Our World Premieres Commercial-Free This Earth Day, Sunday, April 22, at 7/6c on Nat Geo WILD

(Washington, D.C. - March 29, 2018) Nat Geo WILD announced today that multiplatinum-selling rockers X Ambassadors are teaming up with Emmy- and BAFTA-nominated Bleeding Fingers Music on the original composition created for the network's Earth Day special Symphony for Our World.
Driven by a five-part composition - broken down by sea, shore, land, mountains, sky - Symphony for Our World is a one-hour celebration of planet Earth that pairs artistry with science. It combines stunning National Geographic natural history footage with an original symphony and theme composed by Bleeding Fingers Music featuring composers Austin Fray and Andrew Christie, and a special musical collaboration with X Ambassadors, resulting in a powerful tribute to the beauty and wonders of our wild world.

Symphony for Our World premieres commercial-free on Sunday, April 22, at 7/6c on Nat Geo WILD and will premiere globally in 140 countries. For more information, visit our press site www.natgeotvpressroom.com.

Bleeding Fingers Music will layer in the unique musical elements of X Ambassadors, known for their hits like "Renegades," "Unsteady" and their newly released singles "Don't Stay" and "Ahead of Myself," into the original composition to create an unprecedented musical experience that will bring viewers on a breathtaking musical journey through some of the world's most incredible wildlife spectacles. The composition for Symphony for Our World will now include vocal riffs and piano and drum elements recorded by X Ambassadors members Sam Harris, Casey Harris and Adam Levin to create a powerful, unique orchestra-meets-rock-band sound that elevates this celebration of our planet.

"It's such a thrill to work with the world-renowned X Ambassadors. My team and I at Bleeding Fingers are honored to once again bring together contemporary musicians with orchestral backing. Unquestionably the band's input elevated the theme and brought an ingredient to the score that unleashed an expected new energy," said Russell Emanuel, chief creative and CEO of Bleeding Fingers Music.

Separate from the broadcast event, National Geographic will feature the original music created for the Symphony for Our World special in a live, global orchestral tour kicking off on Earth Day in San Francisco's Louise M. Davies Symphony Hall. For performance dates and ticket information, visit natgeo-symphony.com.

About X Ambassadors:
KIDinaKORNER/Interscope band X Ambassadors' debut album, "VHS," reflected on the events that shaped the lives of lead vocalist and lyricist Sam Harris and his older brother, keyboardist Casey Harris, growing up in Ithaca, New York. The gold-certified album, which Rolling Stone called "bombastic rock that's as stomping as it is diaristic, leavened by big-tent pop hooks and a hint of hip-hop swagger," debuted at No. 7 on Billboard's Top 200 chart and spawned the platinum-selling "Renegades," which spent 12 consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Alternative chart, and the double-platinum "Unsteady." The success of "VHS" sent X Ambassadors on a nearly two-year touring odyssey that found them winning over fans around the world and performing at the Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Life Is Beautiful and Shaky Knees festivals, among others, and establishing themselves as a world-class rock band. X Ambassadors released the impassioned "Ahead of Myself," the first single off their forthcoming sophomore set, and followed that up with "Joyful" and "Don't Stay." X Ambassadors returned to Ithaca this past fall to co-headline their inaugural Cayuga Sound Festival with The Roots, giving back to the community that nurtured their talent, and are currently out on their headline JOYFUL Tour.
