CBS Television Distribution’s “Entertainment Tonight” Wins Outstanding Entertainment News Program
CBS Corporation won a combined 20 awards at the “45th Annual Daytime Emmy® Awards” ceremonies this weekend, the most of any company.
The CBS Television Network was recognized with 19 awards, including THE TALK winning Outstanding Talk Show Entertainment, THE PRICE IS RIGHT winning Outstanding Game Show, and LET'S MAKE A DEAL’s Wayne Brady named Outstanding Game Show Host. LUCKY DOG, from the Network’s Saturday morning lineup CBS DREAM TEAM… IT’S EPIC! took home the Outstanding Host in a Lifestyle/Travel/Children’s or Family Viewing Program award for Brandon McMillan.
The Network’s daytime dramas were honored with multiple acting and creative arts Emmys. Eileen Davidson, from Daytime’s #1 drama, THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS, was named Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series, and the drama, which just celebrated its 45th anniversary, also received Outstanding Supporting Actress award for Camryn Grimes and two additional creative arts Emmy Awards. THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL’s Rome Flynn won for Outstanding Younger Actor and seven additional honors at the creative arts Emmy Awards.
ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT, produced and distributed by CBS Television Distribution, won Outstanding Entertainment News Program.
THE TALK will continue the celebration with its annual “After Party” on Monday, April 30 at 2:00 PM, ET / 1:00 PM, PT. The Daytime Emmy-winning talk show will honor some of the night’s biggest winners, including Wayne Brady, Eileen Davidson, Rome Flynn, Camryn Grimes, as well as James Reynolds, Greg Vaughan and additional cast from “Days Of Our Lives.”
