Mister Rogers' Neighborhood - PBS Provides a Disc Replacement Program for the 'It's a Beautiful Day Collection' DVDs Corrects missing episodes from the first and last discs on the March 27th release

As you know, this past March 27th saw the DVD release of Mister Rogers' Neighborhood - It's a Beautiful Day Collection, a 4-disc set from PBS to celebrate the show's anniversary. It was meant to include 32 episodes spanning the show's run, plus a great extra: "The new release also includes a very special bonus episode: the series premiere, in original black-and-white!" Unfortunately, however, there was an error with the DVD set, and the wrong bonus episode was included on the last dis. And also, an episode was left off of the first disc as well. We've reached out to the studio about this situation, and PBS has today provided us with the following info: "The bonus episode on disc #4 is the incorrect episode and disc #1 is missing an episode. A corrected DVD set is in the process of being manufactured and will be available to ship in early May. We are providing new DVDs to customers who purchased the original DVD. Customers who would like to exchange their copy for a corrected copy at no cost can email our customer service department directly at: pbscustomerservice@pbs.org Customers will need to provide their shipping address, proof of purchase and place of purchase. We will send the customer a replacement copy as soon it becomes available. Customers do not need to return the original copy to PBS. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause consumers." In keeping with the above, we see that the original Amazon listing for this title has been pulled, showing "currently unavailable" as the status. Amazon.com has instead added a new listing, seen at the button link below, for the corrected version of the title, showing a release date of May 8th. The package art appears to be the same. How then to identify the new, corrected version? The old Amazon listing has this message in the "editorial reviews" section of the entry: "We have confirmed the content provided in this set does not match the description on the packaging. We are discontinuing this version and will be releasing an alternate and corrected item on 5/8/18. The new version will be released under UPC 841887036818 " The UPC on the old version is 841887035545, so if you see that item then it's the version with the incorrect content on the discs. Be sure to buy the new version! And if you already own this title, follow the procedure outlined above to get corrected discs sent to you with the missing episodes.
