Netflix Releases Launch Dates and New Assets for ‘GLOW’ S2, ‘Maniac,’ ‘The Innocents,’ and More

Today, Netflix released launch dates and assets for many of its new and returning series out of a multi-title slate event in Rome.

Your favorite Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling are back in the ring Friday, June 29.
Season 2 follows the women of GLOW as they become local celebrities, confronting the good, the bad, and the ugly realities of their newfound fame. As Ruth (Alison Brie) and Debbie (Betty Gilpin) settle into the day-to-day of making a season of TV together, they confront lingering issues at the heart of their friendship. Sam (Marc Maron) is still Sam, but now he has a teenage daughter living with him and twenty episodes to churn out. The wrestling is harder, the stakes are higher, and the hair is even bigger.

Created and written by Hania Elkington and Simon Duric, who also executive produce, The Innocents stars Sorcha Groundsell as June, Percelle Ascott as Harry and Guy Pearce as Halvorson. Elaine Pyke, Charlie Pattinson, and Willow Grylls of New Pictures serve as Executive Producers, along with Farren Blackburn. Blackburn directed six of the eight episodes.

Turn Up Charlie - New Series Announcement
Idris Elba is Charlie, a struggling DJ and eternal bachelor, who’s given a final chance at success when he reluctantly becomes a manny to his famous best friend's problem-child daughter.


The Staircase  - Three New Original Episodes of the True Crime Documentary Series

Netflix announces brand new episodes of The Staircase, the compelling story of Michael Peterson, a crime novelist accused of killing his wife Kathleen after she is found dead at the bottom of a staircase in their home, and the 16 year judicial battle that followed. The new episodes of this true crime phenomenon will launch alongside the original series. Produced by Matthieu Belghiti and produced and directed by Academy Award winner Jean-Xavier de Lestrade. The next chapter of The Staircase will premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival.
