Legendary prosecutor Linda Fairstein brings the real stories of the Manhattan Special Victims Unit to television in the new Lifetime special THE REAL SVU, airing Monday May 21 at 10PM ET/PT. As the head of the Special Victims Unit for over three decades, and the inspiration for the long-running Law & Order series, Linda Fairstein has led the fight in and out of the courtroom to get justice for women and all victims of sexual violence. The hour-long special gives an inside look at how one of this famous unit's real cases was investigated and prosecuted. The special investigates the case of a successful swimsuit designer found dead at an exclusive Manhattan hotel, with all signs pointing to her trust-fund boyfriend as the perpetrator. But when the SVU team delves further into the case, they're shocked at what they uncover about his dark family history.
