Strike Back - 'Cinemax Season 5' Gets a Date for DVD and Blu-ray Disc Industry periodical Media Play News says to expect it later in the summer

In March 2016, HBO released Strike Back - Cinemax Season 4: Final Season on DVD and Blu-ray Disc. It wasn't so final after all: the show returned to Sky One in the UK at the end of last October, and to Cinemax in the USA near the beginning of this past February. This time the show was revamped and given a new cast, refreshing the program but keeping to the core themes. A week ago today the folks at the Media Play News home video industry periodical ran an article revealing that Strike Back - Cinemax Season 5 is coming to Blu-ray Disc and DVD this coming August 14th. The folks at MPN explain: Strike Back: The Complete Fifth Season features a new team of soldiers, including Sergeant Thomas ‘Mac' McAllister (Warren Brown of The Dark Knight Rises), Sergeant Samuel Wyatt (Daniel MacPherson, Infini), Lance Corporal Gracie Novan (Alin Sumarwata, Burning Man) and Captain Natalie Reynolds (Roxanne McKee, "Game of Thrones," "Crossfire"), helping track down a notorious terrorist after a brutal prison break. "Strike Back" originally aired a season in the United Kingdom before coming to Cinemax, making this the sixth season overall and fifth to air in the United States.
