SANTA MONICA, Calif. and VANCOUVER, British Columbia, June 26, 2018 -- On the heels of the third season renewal of Lionsgate's (NYSE: LGF.A, LGF.B) critically-acclaimed hit series Dear White People, the studio has signed an overall television deal for new television series with renowned writer, producer and showrunner Yvette Lee Bowser, it was announced today by Lionsgate Television Group Chairman Kevin Beggs.
The deal expands the global content leader's relationship with Bowser who serves as executive producer and showrunner behind its breakout television hit Dear White People, which has garnered massive critical recognition and perfect Rotten Tomatoes scores for two straight seasons. Bowser is also known for her work in the Emmy(R) nominated television series Black-ish and Living Single.
