COLUMBUS, OH. —August 27, 2018— Independent craft brewery, BrewDog, known for revolutionizing the beer industry around the globe, today announced the launch of THE BREWDOG NETWORK (www.brewdognetwork.com), a hand-crafted, curated SVOD service celebrating passionate enthusiasts with a thirst for fearless and intoxicating content.

Available worldwide at launch on Android, iOS and online for $4.99 per month, or less than a pint of beer, the streaming network’s perfectly-blended, boundary-pushing lineup will be curated by BrewDog co-founders James Watt and Martin Dickie who announced the launch this past weekend at a meeting of BrewDog’s Equity For Punks shareholders in Columbus, Ohio, the stateside home base for the brewer.

“After our previous TV show Brew Dogs got cancelled, we didn’t want to sit around in our underpants, crying into a tub of ice cream.  So we decided the only thing to do would be to build our own TV network.  This is a genuine move to take the video-on-demand revolution to a new level. Driven by true passion and enthusiasm, we are doing exactly what we did with craft beer; raising standards and eyebrows in equal measure.”

Watt continues: “Just as Netflix has pioneered mainstream streaming services, The BrewDog Network will be the first globally-recognized, passion-focused platform. We believe craft beer can be the inspiration for the most popular content on the internet – maybe even more popular than videos of cats falling off walls or celebrity sex tapes.”

The BrewDog Network will be anchored by hundreds of hours of curated programming with a deep-dive into cocktail, craft beer, culinary and travel adventures, laugh-out-loud comedy, game shows, distinctive documentaries and more, all hopped up with BrewDog’s signature irreverent, renegade filter. With over 14 original series at launch, highlights include “The BrewDog Show;” a reinvention of the beloved hit TV series where network founders Watt and Dickie take on the world one beer at a time. In six new encounters of the brewing kind, our hosts will traverse the globe to toast those who share their collective love of the craft.  Other featured originals are:  “Are You Smarter Than a Drunk Person,” where an average trivia competitor goes head-to-head with a MENSA genius who’s not exactly sober.  The all-new game show is hosted by actress and comedian Alison Becker (“Parks and Recreation”); “Four Sheets,” featuring comedian Zane Lamprey in an all-new drinkation adventure inspired by his long-running series “Three Sheets;” as well as “Business Punks,” a docu-series featuring BrewDog co-founder James Watt going one-on-one with fellow rulebreakers and business misfits who have clawed their way to success.

The network’s vast library of curated acquisitions that speak to the BrewDog community include: William Shatner’s “Brown Bag Wine Tasting,” a celebration of wine and wandering conversation; Zane Lamprey’s “Drinking Made Easy,” a pub-crawl exploring the local drinking culture of various cities in the United States; “The Flying Winemaker,” an international wine and travel show; “Surfing the Menu,” an Australian cooking and lifestyle series hosted by celebrity chef, Curtis Stone, featuring two cooks traveling to the most remote and scenic places to find the tastiest foods and recipes that the areas have to offer; and “Never Ever Try this at Home,” a comedy-reality series featuring hosts Teddy Wilson and Norm Sousa, who ignore the warning labels on a variety of household items, with varying results.

In celebration of the network's launch, BrewDog created Small Screen Hero, a specialty craft beer that will be available online and at BrewDog locations around the globe.

The network is a partnership with long time creative collaborators and Emmy-winning producers of the hit series “Brew Dogs,” Chris Burke and Jared Cotton of Redtail Media, who have been named General Manager and Head of Creative, respectively, for The BrewDog Network.

About BrewDog
Since 2007 BrewDog has been on a mission to make other people as passionate about great craft beer as we are. From the Headliner series, which includes bold, uncompromising pack leaders like the flagship Punk IPA, to the Amplified range (beer, but turned up to 11), BrewDog brews beer that blows people’s minds and has kick-started a revolution.

Cofounders James Watt and Martin Dickie shook up the business world in 2010 with the launch of pioneering crowdfunding initiative Equity for Punks, an initiative that has seen the company raise over £61m over five rounds, raising more money through online equity crowdfunding than any other on record. The funds and the army of punk shareholders (85,000) has enabled the Scottish craft brewery to scale up without selling out.

With over 50 bars across the globe, export into 60 countries, and a brewery in Ohio that launched in 2017, BrewDog continues to take the craft beer revolution stratospheric, whilst continuing to push the boundaries, invest in people, put the beer first, and champion other small breweries in its venues.
