Finishing its 25th season on Fridays, Dateline continues to reign as the dominant Friday newsmagazine for five out of the last six seasons. For the third quarter period, Dateline was also #1 across the board for the 6th consecutive quarter and in eight of the last nine quarters, topping 20/20 by double-digits across all key demos.

In Friday’s season premiere, On the Outskirts of Town, Andrea Canning reports on a young, beloved woman who is found dead near a soccer field in Indiana. As a family and a community grieve, detectives try to piece together a puzzle that leads them to the most unexpected of suspects. Watch a preview here.
