Part of Network’s Annual, #1-rated “Countdown to Christmas” Programming Event
STUDIO CITY, CA – September 20, 2018 – Music icon LeAnn Rimes and Tyler Hynes (“UnREAL,” “Saving Hope”) star in “It’s Christmas, Eve,” a new, original movie premiering Saturday, November 10 (8 p.m. ET/PT) on Hallmark Channel as part of the network’s annual, #1-rated programming event, COUNTDOWN TO CHRISTMAS. Hallmark Channel is historically the #1 television network in all of Q4. In addition to starring in the movie, Rimes has also written three songs, two of which she performs in the movie: the title song, “It’s Christmas, Eve” and “You and Me and Christmas.” Eve Morgan (Rimes) is an interim school superintendent whose job is to travel from city to city turning around broken schools. One day, Morgan is surprised to find she’s been assigned to a high school in her hometown. In a “meet cute” moment, Eve meets Liam Bailey (Hynes), single dad of Abby (Eden Summer Gilmore, “Supernatural”), and head of a music department that is in the red and under the gun to miraculously turn around or be shut down. Music is close to Eve’s heart as her late father was a jazz musician who taught her how to play music and sing. So raw is her dad’s passing that Eve hasn’t performed in a very long time. Now, the interim school superintendent predisposed to saying no may be persuaded to say yes to save the dreams of many while learning to live on her own.
“It’s Christmas, Eve” is executive produced by Stephanie Germain, LeAnn Rimes, Allen Lewis and Juliet Smith. Harvey Kahn serves as producer. Tibor Takacs directed from a script by Tracy Andreen, from a story by Mark Amato.
