Terence Nance Presents a New Vision of Contemporary American Life  in HBO® New Late-Night Series

 RANDOM ACTS OF FLYNESS℠

Available for Digital Download  October 8
From filmmaker, artist and musician Terence Nance (An Oversimplification of Her Beauty), comes Random Acts of Flyness, a fresh subversive look at contemporary American life. Available for Digital Download October 8, the six-episode series weaves together a number of themes, including family, history, death, tech, relationships and more.

Random Acts of Flyness “is like almost nothing you’ve seen on TV before” (The New York Times), intermixing live-action shots with animation, stop-motion and music.  Showing assorted vignettes with an ensemble cast of emerging and established talent, the HBO® series creates a though-provoking and visually unique experience that is “passionately inventive” (New Yorker).

Nance starred, directed, wrote and executive produced the inaugural show, featuring notable guest stars including Dominique Fishback (HBO’s The Deuce), Whoopi Goldberg (co-host of The View), Gillian Jacobs (Love, Community), Ntare Guma Mwime (The Chi, The Knick), Natalie Paul (The Deuce), Paul Sparks (HBO’s Boardwalk Empire) and many others.

Random Acts of Flyness is directed by Nance and also executive produced by Tamir Muhammad, Jamund Washington, Kishori Rajan, Kelley Robins Hicks, Ravi Nandan and John Hodges. The series is written by Washington, Frances Bodomo, Naima Ramos-Champman, Mariama Diallo, Darius Monroe, Nelson Nacne and Shaka King.
