Part of the Network’s #1-Rated Annual “Countdown to Christmas” Programming Event
STUDIO CITY – November 9, 2018 – “Christmas Everlasting,” the newest original film in the revered Hallmark Hall of Fame franchise, premieres Saturday, November 24 (8 p.m. ET/PT) on Hallmark Channel and features a star-studded cast from the film, television and recording industries. Tatyana Ali (“Fly,” “The Young and the Restless”), Dondre T. Whitfield (“Queen Sugar”), Dennis Haysbert (“Reverie,” Far from Heaven ) and Grammy Award® winner and Hall of Fame inductee Patti LaBelle star in this heartwarming holiday story about love, loss and family. “Christmas Everlasting” is part of Hallmark Channel’s #1-rated annual programming event, COUNTDOWN TO CHRISTMAS. With this popular annual event, Hallmark Channel is historically the #1 television network in all of Q4. Just before Christmas, Lucy (Ali) returns to her hometown after the passing of her beloved sister. Because of a clause in her sister’s will, Lucy stays through the holidays and sees glimpses of her sister’s joyful life that help relieve guilt she had long harbored about an accident that left her sister with cognitive difficulties. She celebrates the holidays with her Uncle Barney (Haysbert), meets her sister’s close friends – the “FOA” (Friends of Alice) – and reunites with her high school love, Peter (Whitfield). At a Christmas celebration hosted by his mother, Mrs. Whitfield (LaBelle), Peter reveals a secret from Lucy’s sister’s past. Lucy is conflicted about what to do with this news and hurt that Peter had kept it from her all this time. As Christmas approaches, Lucy must decide how to handle this revelation about her sister’s life, and if her new friendships and rekindled relationship with Peter will keep her in her hometown permanently. “Christmas Everlasting,” is a Two Team Entertainment Production. Beth Miller is executive producer. Dustin Rikert serves as producer. Ron Oliver directed from a script by Maria Nation and Marcy Holland, based on the bestselling novel by Marie Bostwick.
