Arlington, VA – March 14, 2019 – PBS Distribution
announces the upcoming release of the new DVD “WILD KRATTS: THE BRINY
BLUE SEA” featuring four aquatic episodes from one of children’s
favorite series on PBS KIDS, WILD KRATTS.
It’s time to dive into the ocean and have
some underwater adventures with Chris and Martin Kratt in the action-packed DVD
“WILD
KRATTS: THE BRINY BLUE SEA.” In the episode Osprey, Jimmy accidentally drops the keys to the Tortuga
into the ocean. Chris, Martin and Aviva are
on a race to develop osprey creature powers to find the keys before they
disappear forever! Then in the episode Sea
Otter Swim, the Wild Kratts take time out for a swim but
Jimmy reveals that he’s not a strong swimmer. Martin and Chris take Jimmy to
meet his own personal swimming tutor – a sea otter named Coach! Will Coach help
Jimmy master the art of swimming? Other episodes included on the DVD are Puffin Rescue and Aye Aye.
WILD
KRATTS is the highest rated PBS KIDS program
among kids 2-8. (September 2017, Nielsen)
“THE BRINY BLUE SEA” ($14.99 SRP) will be available on April 9, 2019 and has a
run time of approximately 105 minutes.
Other titles available from PBS Distribution include: “WILD KRATTS: MADAGASGAR MADNESS!, “WILD
KRATTS: PANDA-MONIUM,” WILD KRATTS: WILD WINTER CREATURES!,” and “WILD KRATTS: ADVENTURES ON THE AFRICAN
SAVANNAH.”
Episodes featured on this DVD will also be streaming on PBS KIDS
Prime Channel.
WILD
KRATTS transforms the Kratt Brothers, creators of the award-winning “Kratts’
Creatures” and Emmy-winning “Zoboomafoo,” into animated versions of themselves,
allowing the real-life zoologists to visit wild animals in their little-seen
habitats and showcase key science concepts along the way. From elephants using
physics to suck gallons of water with their trunks to a fleet of peregrine
falcons that harness the force of gravity to speed through the air, each
episode of WILD KRATTS presents age-appropriate science inspired by the natural
abilities of the animals that the Kratt Brothers – and young viewers – meet.
WILD KRATTS airs daily on PBS KIDS (check local listings).[JVH1]
