ABC and dick clark productions announced today that the “2019 American Music Awards®,” the world’s largest fan-voted awards show, will broadcast live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, Nov. 24 (8:00-11:00 p.m. EST), on ABC.
The “2018 American Music Awards,” saw Taylor Swift break the record for most AMA wins ever by a female artist with 23, surpassing Whitney Houston’s record of 21. Swift and Camila Cabello led the night with four trophies each, while Kane Brown and Cardi B each took home three awards. The show also featured a moving tribute to the Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin, with performances by Gladys Knight, CeCe Winans, Donnie McClurkin, Ledisi and Mary Mary. 
American Music Awards nominees are based on key fan interactions as reflected in Billboard Magazine and on Billboard.com , including album and digital song sales, radio airplay, streaming, social activity and touring.
