David, the elder Bedford asserts, is more involved in the practice of business than in the practice of medicine. While Jules' sensible daughter-in-law, Jenny (Shelley Fabares), tries to keep the family peace, receptionist Helen (Didi Conn) and nurse Molly (Dena Dietrich) keep the practice running with the help of Lenny (Mike Evans), a young, wisecracking medical intern.
