AND THE BRAND'S FIRST LIFESTYLE PODCAST
STAND-UP W/ CHRIS DISTEFANO LAUNCHES APRIL 18
AND YOUR 2 DADS W/ SEAN & JULIAN,
HOSTED BY SEAN O'CONNOR AND JULIAN MCCULLOUGH, LAUNCHES MAY 20
NEW YORK, April 3, 2019 – Comedy Central announced today that two new podcasts will join its expanding Global Podcast Network: Stand-Up w/ Chris Distefano, launching April 18, and Your 2 Dads w/ Sean and Julian, hosted by Sean O’Connor and Julian McCullough, launching May 20. Both will post with weekly frequency on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and other major podcast outlets. They join the recently announced podcast accompanying each episode of the all-new Comedy Central linear series Klepper premiering May 9.
Stand-Up with Chris Distefano, developed and greenlit straight to series, is a first-of-its-kind podcast that utilizes a decades-deep library of proprietary stand-up content for a weekly listening party. Chris and in-studio producer Nicole Boyce will play classic bits, dissect some of the greatest stand-up of all time, discuss the comedy scene, and take calls from Chris’s comedian friends – and everyone’s invited! Listen to the trailer here.
Your 2 Dads w/ Sean and Julian, Comedy Central’s first lifestyle podcast, is a comedic twist on the enormously popular mom-blog/parent-media genre. O’Connor and McCullough dive into the often unintentionally hilarious world of life’s second-hardest job (moms will know what’s first!) to share their stories and opinions about parenting from daddy’s point of view. Listen to the trailer here.
Chris Distefano is an actor, comedian, and host of the Comedy Central Friday-night interstitial series Stupid Questions with Chris Distefano. His one-hour special Chris Distefano: Size 38 Waist premiered in January on Comedy Central, and his recently inked overall deal with the network encompasses several projects already in development, including a second hour-long stand-up special, an animated series, and an unscripted series. He currently co-stars in the web series Bay Ridge Boys alongside fellow comic Yannis Pappas.
Julian McCullough’s one-hour special Julian McCullough: Maybe I’m a Man premiered June 8, 2018 on Comedy Central. McCullough has toured the country enough to earn Diamond Medallion Status on Delta Airlines, has appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Conan, NPR’s This American Life, and Comedy Central’s This Is Not Happening. He has also had parts on Inside Amy Schumer and is a frequent guest on TruTV’s Comedy Knockout.
Sean O’Connor is a stand-up comedian and writer who has written for The Late Late Show with James Corden, was head writer on Comedy Central’s Hood Adjacent, and was head writer for 2018’s Hilarity For Charity. He previously sold an animated television project, executive produced by Blake Griffin, to Fox. His half-hour special aired on Comedy Central as part of the network’s The Half Hour franchise, and he was a New Face at 2011’s Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal.
Comedy Central’s Global Podcast Network launched in 2017 and features brand extensions of comedy central’s hit franchises and new original content. The podcasts are available across major podcast apps and include The Daily Show: Ears Edition — which has now delivered over 37.5 million lifetime downloads — The Jim Jefferies Show, The Jeselnik & Rosenthal Vanity Project, Roast Battle, You Up w/ Nikki Glaser and The Bonfire with Big Jay Oakerson and Dan Soder.
