On the Wednesday, September 18th edition of “Tamron Hall,” harsh realities of revenge porn with victim, author and attorney Carrie Goldberg, and later sat down with “The Boardroom’s” Jay Williams to discuss his reinvention after a motorcycle accident ended his NBA career.

Author of Nobody's Victim: Fighting Psychos, Stalkers, Pervs, and Trolls, Carrie Goldberg, shared her story of survival and her crusade to change anti-revenge porn laws to “shift the shame from the victim to the perpetrator” after an ex-boyfriend “vowed to spend the rest of his life ruining hers.” Goldberg talked about the moment she decided to empower herself, saying “I was literally on a cliff in Ireland thinking ‘I don’t know if I can take this anymore’ and I said you know what, don’t do anything dramatic, you can come back in a year, but spend this next year trying to make a difference and trying to fix this for other people.” Following her interview with Carrie, Tamron brought out revenge porn victims Stephanie Corrao from New York and founder of victim’s rights organization BadAss Army, Katelyn Bowden from Cleveland, to share their personal stories of survival and to answer questions from the audience, specifically discussing who is liable in these cases, victims’ rights and the unfortunate circumstances of slack laws related to cyber harassment cases.

Tamron also sat down with former NBA superstar Jay Williams, who relived the night of his career-ending motorcycle accident and shared how he overcame the life-changing challenges that came with it. When asked why he got on the motorcycle Williams said, “in the sports world, you’re not allowed to show vulnerability, so I think that ego and what it was to be my own man and want to separate myself from my father led me ultimately to have a bike.” Later in the interview, Jay opened up about his 16-year road to recovery including overcoming an opioid addiction, sharing “for a long time I would say ‘why me,’ but when I was able to change the narrative in my own mind to, ‘why not me,’ I became so empowered.”

Later this week on “Tamron Hall,” the “Legend Series” continues with singer Mary Wilson of The Supremes, actress Catherine Oxenberg and “mixed-ish” stars Mark-Paul Gosselaar and Tika Sumpter
