ESPN+ to Feature More Than 1,500 Games From Across 20 Conferences

ESPN networks will present upwards of 3,100 men’s college basketball games during the 2019-2020 season. Building off a momentous 2018-2019 season, ESPN is poised to bring the best players, matchups and stories to viewers across 840 games on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ABC, ESPNEWS, SEC Network, ACC Network (ACCN), Big 12 Now on ESPN+ and Longhorn Network. An additional 2,300 games will be available on ESPN3, SEC Network +, ACCNX and ESPN+ – including more than 1,500 on ESPN+ alone. With more than 5,000 men’s and women’s college basketball matchups throughout the season, ESPN networks bring top-tier and unprecedented coverage of the sport to fans everywhere.
ABC will begin its 2019-2020 season coverage beginning with Texas A&M Aggies vs. Texas Longhorns on SUNDAY, DEC. 8.

Other schedule highlights include:
       State Farm Champions Classic will tip off ESPN’s season-long coverage, with Kansas vs. Duke and Michigan State vs. Kentucky on Tuesday, Nov. 5, beginning at 7 p.m. EST
       Early-Season Events: A total of 26 events will appear on ESPN networks; 10 owned and operated by ESPN Events, including the inaugural Phil Knight Invitational (Nov. 12)
       Under the Spotlight: Franchise programming “Sonic Blockbuster” returns, highlighting marquee matchups throughout the season; first Blockbuster matchups include Kansas vs. Duke and Michigan State vs. Kentucky (Champions Classic)
       Challenge Accepted: “Big Ten/ACC Challenge”(Dec. 2-4) and “Big 12/SEC Challenge”(Saturday, Jan. 25) return for their 21st and eighth year, respectively
       Every Division I conference will be represented, as teams from each conference will be featured on one of ESPN’s networks
SEC Network
SEC Network is home to nearly 115 men’s basketball preseason and regular season showdowns, including more than 70 conference contests. Regular season action tips off with UNF visiting Florida at 7 p.m. EST on Tuesday, Nov. 5, and Auburn following at 9 p.m. when the defending SEC champions host Georgia Southern. SEC Network will also provide live studio and event programming from the 2020 SEC Men’s Basketball Tournament in Nashville, with the early rounds on SEC Network and the “SEC Now” set on site for wall-to-wall Champ Week coverage. ACCN
ACC Network (ACCN), the new, 24/7 national platform dedicated to ACC sports, will exclusively air 110 regular-season games in its debut season, including 68 conference matchups. Four high-profile conference games on Nov. 5 and 6 highlight the opening week of the season. Leading off, Georgia Tech will play at NC State, and Miami will host Louisville on Nov. 5. The following day, reigning NCAA Champion Virginia visits Syracuse and North Carolina hosts Notre Dame. The Cavaliers will play North Carolina on either Saturday, Dec. 7, or Sunday, Dec. 8, highlighting early December conference matchups on the new network. Additionally, ACCN will also televise the first round of the 2020 New York Life ACC Men’s Basketball Tournament on Tuesday, March 10, live from the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina. Big 12 Now on ESPN+
Big 12 Now on ESPN+ will carry 41 men’s college basketball games this season, as part of an enhanced rights agreement announced earlier this year. All 10 Big 12 schools will make multiple appearances on the platform during the season. Big 12 events will be available with an ESPN+ subscription, and join a programming lineup of thousands of live sports events and thousands of hours of on-demand content, including acclaimed original programming and the “30 for 30” film library, as well as premium editorial content and tools. Longhorn Network
Longhorn Network, ESPN’s 24-hour network devoted to The University of Texas, will televise 10 men’s basketball matchups during the 2019-2020 basketball season. Three conference contests will be highlighted on LHN in the 2019-2020 season and 28 total games will air on ESPN networks. The Longhorns are coming off winning the NIT Championship for the second time in program history.

ESPN+
In addition to Big 12 games, ESPN+, the industry-leading direct-to-consumer streaming service, will feature more than 1,500 other men’s college basketball games from over 20 conferences, including American Athletic, America East, Atlantic 10, ASUN, Big South, Horizon, Metro Atlantic, Mid-American, Missouri Valley, Northeast, Ohio Valley, Southern, Southland and the Ivy League.
Games aired on an ESPN network will also be available through the ESPN App, accessible on computers, smartphones, tablets and connected devices to fans who receive their video subscription from an affiliated provider.
