Season 1

Roxane Delage, a professor of archaeology in Marseille, wakes up naked and confused next to the body of a murdered man, in the living room of a house that isn’t hers. Not knowing how she got there, what happened or what to do, she panics and runs away. A few hours later the police track her down and arrest her. She is indicted for the murder of this man who the police think is her lover, but Roxane has never seen him before. Roxane is tried and sentenced to twelve years in prison.

When the young daughter of Jos Segers, leader of the town’s gypsy gang, is kidnapped by rival gang leader Gideon, Jos sets up a deal with police chief Peter Haag to put Gideon behind bars. But Gideon isn’t the only one being played; the plan ends in disaster and only one person escapes with their life. In the aftermath, Peter’s daughter, a police officer and Jos’ son, both estranged from their families, return years later to Brabant with their lives now inexplicably entwined.

Anna-Lisa is the owner of a popular B&B on a beautiful Swedish island which she runs with her son Oskar, her two other children Jonna and Lasse have long moved away and become estranged from her. She sends postcards to them inviting them back to the island and the guest house they grew up in. For the first time in years the family is together again. When Anna-Lisa is found dead one morning, the siblings learn that she had terminal cancer, her Will leaves specific instructions for the siblings to run the lodge together for a summer season.

Victoire Delorme is a school teacher who recently underwent heart surgery, and has just moved with her husband and their two children from the bustle of Paris to a small village in south-eastern France. On the first day of school, Victoire runs into Florent Mallevalm, her high school sweet heart and her first love, who is now a chef at a restaurant in town. The attraction is immediate and both realize their love and passion for each other never left. Victoire and Florent are both married and have children, making their love for each other more complicated.
